Responsibilities

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for the functional design and evolution of information systems. On a daily basis, you will

 

  • Analyze, challenge and clarify business and customer requirements.
  • Define concepts and manage the planning of preliminary analysis and design phases.
  • Perform functional analysis of information systems and translate business needs into detailed functional designs.
  • Develop functional specifications and requirements to support specific customer needs.
  • Work closely with development teams throughout the development, testing and production phases.
  • Support changes, enhancements and new functionalities from development through production.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements and improvements.
  • Analyze service requests and assess their feasibility, required technological changes, resources and project timelines.
  • Support system upgrades and help resolve issues related to existing applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that proposed solutions are practical and aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain functional documentation and ensure that requirements and system changes are properly documented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Functional Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in functional analysis and functional design of information systems.
  • Strong experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders and technical/development teams.
  • Good understanding of software development processes and IT environments.
  • Experience with SQL/DQL, with knowledge of databases such as DB2, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with JSON / JavaScript Object Notation.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
