Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive the commercial growth of our Engineering Division in Belgium.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of strategic clients operating in the Automotive, Railway, Aerospace, Military and Defence sectors while actively developing new business opportunities. You will build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, identify customer challenges, and position Expleo's engineering expertise to deliver high-value consulting and technical solutions.

This is a strategic role combining account management, business development, and sales leadership, requiring a strong understanding of engineering services and the ability to develop business from both existing and new customers.

 

Please note this role requires covering both Flanders and Willonia areas. 

Responsibilities

  • Account Management
    • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts within the Automotive, Railway, Aerospace, Military and Defence industries.
    • Develop trusted relationships with engineering, procurement and executive stakeholders.
    • Understand clients' business challenges and identify opportunities to expand Expleo's engineering service offering.
    • Build and execute strategic account development plans.
    • Lead commercial negotiations and contract renewals.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Business Development
    • Identify, prospect and acquire new customers ("new logos") within the Engineering market.
    • Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
    • Build a strong sales pipeline through networking, referrals, industry events and market intelligence.
    • Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation and contract signature.
    • Promote Expleo's engineering capabilities across consultancy, project delivery and technical expertise.
  • Opportunity Management
    • Collaborate closely with recruitment and engineering delivery teams to match customer requirements with the right technical expertise.
    • Prepare commercial proposals and service agreements.
    • Manage forecasts, sales reporting and CRM activities.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with Engineering Managers, Recruitment, Delivery Managers and HR to ensure successful project execution.
    • Contribute to the commercial strategy of the Engineering Division.
    • Support marketing initiatives, customer events and employer branding activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.

 

Essential skills

  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to developing new business.
  • Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels, from engineering teams to executive management.

Experience

  • Proven experience in B2B sales within engineering services, technical consulting or staffing.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more of the following sectors:
    • Automotive
    • Railway
    • Aerospace
    • Military & Defence
  • Demonstrated success in both account management and new business acquisition.
  • Experience selling engineering consultancy, project services or technical staffing solutions is highly desirable.

  • Fluent in English and French, professional Dutch is a plus.
