The Role 

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Test Manager with strong expertise in international payments, including MT and MX payment formats, ISO 20022 standards, and modern testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will lead the testing efforts for complex payment solutions, coordinating test planning, execution, automation, and integration testing within an Agile environment. The position follows a hybrid work model, combining both remote work and on-site presence as part of our flexible working culture.

• Lead and coordinate all testing activities across the project lifecycle for payment systems
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans aligned with business requirements and technical specifications
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, and API testing, ensuring thorough coverage of MT and MX payment messages and ISO 20022 compliance
• Drive test automation initiatives using frameworks and tools such as Rest Assured, Cucumber (BDD), and other relevant tools
• Manage and mentor test teams, fostering best practices and continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with development, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality delivery
• Utilize testing tools like Postman, Insomnia, and others for API testing and validation
• Ensure defect tracking, reporting, and resolution in coordination with stakeholders
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines

• Knowledge of payment processing workflows, reconciliation, and exception handling
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
• Experience with performance and security testing

• Proven experience (7+ years) in test leadership roles within the payments domain, with deep knowledge of international payments, SWIFT MT and MX formats, and ISO 20022
• Strong experience in API testing and test automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured, Cucumber BDD)
• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or equivalents
• Solid understanding of Agile testing practices and continuous integration environments
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural, international environment
