The job as an Expleo Mechanical Design Engineer 

• Guarantee the timely and qualitative delivery of a set of activities connected to a component or set of components within a module or (sub)system by technically managing and coordinating these related activities from start of requirement/design until timely and qualitative delivery of the parts by the supplier.
• Responsible for the efficient and effective planning of the activities together with Purchasing, Supplier Quality and Process Development to timely & qualitative deliver the specification, design and component
• Strong technical experience and knowledge in Torque transfer (gear, shaft bearings, …) and design and/or manufacturing experience accordingly
• Will request any resources necessary to timely realise the development and realization of the
• Coordinate the activities performed by other co-workers or supplier, in the scope of the deliverable of the component(s) (day-to-day management) parts/components.
• Responsible for monitoring the pre-determined requirements of the component(s) at delivery to guarantee the quality of the module/subsystem;
• Responsible for validating the supplier process capability to produce the component against the targeted costs (Design for Manufacturability)
• Responsible to realize the functionality within the component at a predefined and agreed cost level

What are our key selection criteria for joining Expleo Mechanical Design Engineering Team?

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field
• Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of specialized experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in supporting manufacturing or design processes with powertrain exposure
• Profound knowledge on HPDC design and manufacturing and opportunities/restrictions by casting technology
• Experience in automotive development scheme and related processes ie. FMEA, APQP, DCP, 6-Sigma, 8D
• CAE and diecast/mold-flow simulation good knowledge, PLM & CAD base knowledge (Windchill, CREO)
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Profound experience design and verification of HPDC components incl. corresponding manufacturing techniques
• Fluent French plus either English or Dutch
