What You’ll Be Doing as a V&V Designer at Expleo

As a key member of our Verification & Validation (V&V) team, you’ll take ownership of in-house V&V activities, collaborating closely with cross-functional experts across departments. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our Test & Commissioning teams to ensure a smooth transition from lab to field, aligning testing strategies and results for maximum impact. Your role will also involve interfacing with design teams to communicate findings and insights, helping to refine and optimize our solutions. Together with the V&V Manager, you’ll define strategy, timelines, and budgets — and keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on progress, outcomes, and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition of the Project Verification and Validation strategy in the V&V Plan, and act proactively for its implementation
• Define verification methodology for selected deliverables, when requested from V&V strategy
• Define test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities. Liaise with PrCOM for exported tests
• Perform and report on allocated verification, integration and test activities
• When Safety is involved, share and justify the results with Safety Assurance Manager to feed safety demonstration
• Interface with experts in other departments to align selected V&V activity methodology
• Represent the company in front of customers or partners, for instance to provide an overview of test progress, issues, risks and opportunities
• Specify, procure, develop, setup and configure assets such as testbenches and instrumentation
• Provide data to maintain applicable KPIs
• Provide valuable feedback for REX sessions and continuous improvement
• Manage configuration and change management cycle related with V&V activities (simulation configuration, anomaly tracking, etc.)
• Follow-up with T&C for tests exported to site execution

• Engineering degree in mechanical, electronical or equivalent experience
• Min 5 years of experience in engineering or R&D team
• Proficient in French and English (oral and written); Dutch (basic oral) is optional

• Passionate and curious about technologies
• Knowledge / understanding of system development lifecycle (V-model) and IVVQ process
• Ability to define test plans of prototypes according to delivery planning and risk evaluation
• Rigorous and thorough while able to make 80/20 compromise based on risk and value creation assessment
• Autonomous, self-drive, able to take and meet commitments
• Good understanding of testing methods (vibrations, EMI/EMC, climatic environments…) and simulation methods (FEA, CFD…)
• Proven ability in the generation of test documentation (test procedures and test reports)
• Good communicator, who can show pedagogy to explain complex problems with simple words.
• Able to work with Agile culture
• Experience relevant in embedded systems (electronic and software) in aeronautical, spatial, defense or automotive industry, as well as a knowledge of the standards DO-178, ARP4754 or ISO26262, is a plus
